James is Senior Vice President of Engineering for SYSO Technologies, leading the effort to build the technology platform and team. ​ Prior to SYSO, James worked in Engineering Management roles specializing in Cloud Architecture, DevOps and Site Reliability Engineering for Sailthru, a leading marketing automation firm and Imprivata, a digital identity company providing security solutions for healthcare. ​ Before Sailthru and Imprivata, James was at EnerNOC (acquired by Enel) for 9 years, working in multiple Engineering roles. Starting as a Performance Engineer shortly after EnerNOC's IPO, James led the tuning and scaling of the EnerNOC platform during a period of high growth, expanding from a few dozen assets under management in a few regions to thousands of assets spread throughout the world. Eventually moving into Enterprise Architect and Principal Engineer roles, James was a key contributor in building EnerNOC's industry leading energy intelligence software (EIS) platform. ​ James holds a M.S. in Computer Science and B.S. in Computer Science and Humanities/Arts from Worcester Polytechnic Institute. James holds multiple Amazon Web Services certifications, including Solutions Architect Professional. James lives with his wife and family in Southern Maine.
