Jake is Business Development Manager at SYSO. Jake joined SYSO in 2025, drawn to the company’s mission to decarbonize the grid through operational excellence and is excited to leverage his extensive energy markets expertise in driving business growth and client satisfaction for SYSO clients across all major U.S. energy markets.

Jake brings deep energy industry experience from his six years as an Associate Energy Trader at Morgan Stanley, where he actively managed and optimized renewable energy assets within CAISO, AESO, and MID-C markets. During his tenure at Morgan Stanley, Jake led wind farm optimization analysis across Montana, Oregon, and Washington that helped the origination team capitalize on REC sale opportunities. He also managed strategic bidding for long-term transmission rights from the Pacific Northwest to California and worked closely with origination and trading teams to optimize market participation across Morgan Stanley’s diverse renewable energy asset portfolio.

Jake holds a BA in Political Science from Middlebury College and a Certificate in Financing and Deploying Clean Energy from Yale University. His Yale certification in renewable energy project finance, clean energy policy, and emerging business models enhances his ability to evaluate complex DER deals, identify new market opportunities, and develop innovative solutions for SYSO’s expanding client base. His personal commitment to renewable energy is reflected in his construction of an off-grid solar and storage system for his own cabin in British Columbia.
