About the Role
SYSO has an immediate need for a Project Manager to join our Operations Team in Boston, MA or remote. Project Managers ensure that our deployments are completed in a timely and cost-effective manner, while optimizing safety and client service. Candidates will have a track record of successfully overseeing multiple parallel short-term projects while communicating project status and expectations both in and out of the organization. Candidates must also have a basic understanding of North American energy markets in terms of regulations, data requirements, hardware requirements, and associated components. Attention to detail, follow-up, and proven experience in a similar capacity will be essential to the success of this role.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities:
Manage implementation of market services for clients, including oversight of SYSO STP hardware/software installation at client facilities, market enrollment activities, and continual client communication
Craft operating strategies to optimize individual assets including wholesale market participation, capacity and ancillary market services, and incentive programs
Continually report a summary of project status within and outside the organization
Fully understand and communicate contractual and regulatory issues relating to the regional grid operator, our clients, and other parties
Represent a team who strives for Operational Excellence and first-class Customer Service
Perform other duties as required
Required Qualifications/Skills/Education:
BA/BS in a technical field, or equivalent experience
A minimum of 5 years of project management and energy industry experience
Passion for teamwork and customer service
Ability to thrive in an innovative and dynamic environment
Commitment to transparent communications and the proven ability to collaborate effectively at all levels
Strong problem-solving and organizational skills
Broad understanding of business considerations associated with our assets under management
Ability to apply creativity and objectivity while solving technical problems
Ability to travel as needed
Desired Qualifications/Skills/Education:
Experience with process improvement methodologies
Certified Energy Manager certification
Familiarity with Salesforce or similar CRM platform
